Ravens owner: Number of in-game commercials, breaks ‘absurd’

Many have complained NFL games run too long, and Ravens owner Steve Bisciotti has a simple solution.

Bisciotti blasted the number of commercials during NFL games and blames the need for breaks before and after kickoffs for the added air time of games.

It doesnt take a genius to figure out that nobody wants to see two minutes of commercials, come back, kick the ball and then go to a minute-and-a-half of commercials,Bisciotti said, via Awful Announcing. Ive thought that was absurd since I was 20 years old.

‘I’m going to take this offseason to evaluate, to consider all options,’ Roethlisberger told the station. ‘To consider health, and family and things like that and just kind of take some time away to evaluate next season, if there’s going to be a next season.’

Retiring would be a huge decision for Roethlisberger, especially coming off a season in which his team had real Super Bowl hopes.

But while he wouldn’t commit to a return to football, he did mention near the end of the interview that the Steelers could have more success next season. He sounded ready to return, but just wants to look everything over before officially coming back.

Roethlisberger missed some time due to a knee injury in 2016 and has taken a beating for the majority of his career. Injury concerns could play into his ultimate decision.

‘At this point in my career I think it’s prudent to evaluate and just make sure. You want to be able to leave this game walking out of it, and in a healthy spot. You don’t want to be ‘carted out.’ You don’t want to leave this game and be worse for the wear, Roethlisberger said. That’s why I think it’s prudent to evaluate.’
